In 1992, After working for several years for the logistics companies TNT and UPS, Søren Gønge decided to start his own business. A company that was to be dedicated to quality, service and reliability. The company was named DANX, Day And Night (e) Xpress.
It quickly became clear that in-night distribution, in particular, was a service that required such high standards in quality and reliability that a dedicated focus on just one product was necessary. DANX became a pioneer in Denmark as the first in-night distributor of spare parts and it was not long before companies with great servicing responsibilities for their customers – e.g. car manufacturers, white goods, and the IT industry - recognised the opportunities and benefits of partnering with DANX and the promise of 99.5 % on time performance.
In 2003 Bob Thorhauge joined DANX as major shareholder with a focus on sales and business development. Bob also had a strategy that DANX should extend its focus from in-night distribution to service logistics in the Nordics. In August 2003, DANX established distribution flows to Sweden with Philips Healthcare and Jungheinrich as its first customers. In 2004, DANX expanded its delivery network to Norway with Philips Healthcare and IT giant DELL. In 2008, DANX covered the entire Nordic region as they established distribution flows to Finland.
In January 2015, DANX again expanded its business area to the Baltics as the distribution network expanded to cover Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
With its unique focus on logistics solutions for the Baltics and the Nordic region, DANX was the first logistics company to join the OEM-driven industry organisation for logistics companies, ISLA, the International Service Logistics Association.
In January 2020, Klaus Rud Sejling joined as CEO of the DANX Group.
