Carousel and DANX merger complete following approval by regulators
New Executive Team announced to support combined plan to grow rapidly across Europe
European logistics operators Carousel and DANX have confirmed today the successful closing of its previously announced business merger. Their coming together supports a jointly-held ambition of becoming the European leader for critical service logistics.
Scandinavian private equity house, Axcel, announced the simultaneous acquisition of Danish in-night logistics provider DANX and UK critical logistics specialist, Carousel Logistics, in January. The company was subject to customary regulatory approvals and now complete, is expected to have combined annual revenues of around €190m ($216m).
New Executive Team announced
Former DANX CEO Klaus Rud Sejling takes over today (1 March 2022) as CEO for the merged group and will be joined by a newly formed Executive Team, made-up of existing Carousel and DANX personnel. Jonathan Simpson-Dent, Carousel’s former CEO, now takes up the role as Chair of the Board. The other Executive Team Members are:

The companies will continue to trade under their respective names in each of their core markets.
